I am considering it, but it its gonna cost me zillions to get one here, and I wanted to make sure it is worth the effort. I Think I was talking with Mr Gruner about this one once b4, right Bill? Did you say you could send me one? Or was there a packaging problem? I hear a lot about it, but don't see it around much - are they still being produced? Greg ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7) From: Greg Subject: Best Kit Ever???? Hi All, I was just wondering what y'all think the best plastic warship kit (Straight out of the box - no P/E ) ever is?? Consider how much thought is given to the placement of where the part joins on to the sprue, could joints have been hidden better, was the hull right, did the prop shafts and bearing housings etc, fit together, how much putty was needed, how well did the kit go together, is it all in scale, is it accurate, how much scratchbuilding was needed etc etc etc.... I think the best kit I have seen so far is my current project - Tamiya's 1/72 PT-15. A lot of people are unfamiliar with this kit, and even frown upon its existance, but I think it is really good, Its very detailed and accurate, looks mean, some of the decals concern me a little, and the yellow string for the railings was a worry, but everything fits together very nicely, the hull is nice, the parts come off the sprue quiet well, and a reasonable amount of consideration has been given to the design of the sprue. The stanchions line up very well with their location holes in the deck, although the holes apear to be a little oversized, and the stanchions flop around. But overall, I think its an excellent kit! Greg. P.S. The WORST Has to be Revells 1/426 Missouri - BLERK!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- End of Volume
