The Boat is a BE Boat not a Fleet Boat, it's the USS Blenny SS-324. I am aware of the resin kit from BWN, however there is a problem with the "limber holes" the Blenny's limber holes were D shaped with the D lying on the flat side of the D and the rounded part pointing upward, every hull I can locate has "oval" (typical Fleet-Boat) limber holes. This project is not for myself, but, for the Gentlemen who served aboard the USS Blenny in WWII, in particular, my friend Frank Toon. Frank has graciously proposed to donate the model to the USS Blenny museum, The Blenny was sank off Ocean City MD. to be used as an artificial reef. Anyone who would like to help with this project, it would be greatly appreciated. I have many photos, some actual war patrol action, now in VCR format, the Blenny's ceremonial sinking, also in VCR format, and Frank's own website, as well as the USS COD'S website. the two Boats have an intertwining history! It's a heck of a story gang! I hope someone who is VERY good at Scale-Modeling will come forward and help, I am an amateur at best. http://www.coos.or.us/~ftoon/memory/f_memory.html (USS Blenny SS-324 memorial site) http://www.usscod.org/ Thanks for ANY help! Is .20 cents each too much? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) From: "Gary Au" Subject: RE: St.-Petersburg Dear Shipmodel Fans, I lost e-mail communication with my friend in St.-Petersburg, Russia. Is there any ship model fellow living close to St.-Petersburg or speaking Russia? I would like to ask helps. Thanks! I have just been watching Discovery's "Anatomy of a Disaster" on the RMS Titanic, and I was wondering If anybody has been down for a look at the IJN Yamato remains recently? In the back of Skulski's Anatomy on the Yamato, there's a few diagrams of the wreck, so somebody has obviously been there, but is there anything a little more substantial than line drawings available? And has anybody ever found Musashi? Or Looked for that matter? Gene? Any Info? Greg (SMML) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- End of Volume
