I've photographed the ship with a modeler's eye for detail. There are over 30 high quality views to assist you with your Burke destroyer. You can see it at http://warship.simplenet.com/features.htm I've also put up the Hiddensee photo tour. This is a Tarantul I missile corvette obtained by the US Navy from the former East Germany after reunification. This is a one piece, full hull kit complete with photoetch. Sale price is $150.00 which includes shipping. Limited supplies remain, so call Ted Paris at 888-IRONSHIP (476-6744) to order. If that suits you and you cannot find the kit, let me know, I may be able to help. Bob Santos ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) From: BECJPARKER Subject: Re: Fubuki Class Charles Watson asked about a Fubuki Class 1/350 Kit. Well you may get part of your wish. BWN is considering doing a Fubuki. As you said we have done the Kegaro and the Akakazi. The Akakazi is a large Destroyer and you may consider doing one of those while waiting for the Fabuki. I really don't think you will see any large scale 1/350 from a Japanese co in the near future, as you would have noticed the $ has resin and the yen is doing the same thing the IJN did at Midway so they maybe a little short on tool up funds . ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5) From: Lito626 Subject: Plastic Ship Modeler I subscribe to Plastic Ship Modeler but the last issue I received was 3/1997. Was 4/1997 published? Larry Litoborski ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6) From: Gene Larson Subject: USS America CV-66 For you warship builders, is there a kit available for USS America CV-66? I have not been able to find it listed in any on-line references I have. I've no use for them so, if anyone is interested, I'll take $25 each, plus whatever postage is necessary. The boxes are ratty (I've patched them up, but they're not for collectors), I've inventoried the parts and both kits are complete (the Potemkin has a small decal with its name, as for an ID plaque, there's not one for the Aurora, so to that extent it may be incomplete -- I don't know whether there ever was one). If the price seems out of line, make me a reasonable offer. I don't know if they're still available or what they sell for, I'm just looking to dispose of them. Email me if you're interested.
