 Thanks for all the suggestions. Is there a source for this sort of material (casting rubber and resin, etc) cheaper than the Micro-Mark catalogue? I found the quantities small and the prices high for their stuff.

 I am working on two projects. One I am working on the SS United States by
Glencoe. (I am actually using two models to make into one good kit) The other is the SS France. For the metal decks, what color green does one use
for the decks?

 Tamiya's 1:350 CVN 65 is a good kit that can be seriously upgraded via Gold Metal Models' Fittings Set. Am building this model and GMM kit gives via their photo etched parts the builder a challenge and potential to make a more realistic model. Haven't finished yet but I can see possibilities.

 Definetly do not work for GMM

Subject: Task Force 72 at Manly Dam this Sunday

 A message for the Sydney siders here ......

 ON Sunday May 10th, which is mother's day in Australia, there is to be a
Task Force 72 running day at Manly Dam. Everyone is invited to join, whether or not you have a model to sail. Come and see some of the 1/72 scale Warships in action  and talk models.

 Picnic site number 4. There are BBQ facilities there, and a quiet relaxing
atmosphere. Entry into the dam park is $6. Email me or phone John Slater for more details on 02 9938 2109.

 There are no plans available at this time.. not even from Jecobin.  Leander
is the oldest subject he does. <<

 You can find plans for the Australian frigates from WW2 onwards. I believe
the Australian 1960s River class frigates were actually Rothesays (HMAS Yarra, Parramatta, Derwent, Stuart). You can get plans from our site in 1/72 scale. These plans are General Arrangements and deck plans, and hull lines are not provided for these particular ships. Although some of our plans do have hull lines too.

 They are all provided rolled in tubes, and you can order them directly from
the site. We accept 4 credit cards or even good old fashioned cash and cheques.
