Greg (Listmaster - SMML) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From : Greg Lee (Listmaster - SMML) Subject : Nichimo 1/200 Yamato & Hobbylink Japan Hi Again Has any here ever built Nichimo's 1/200 Yamato? I have wanted to build this one for years, I feel the time has come:-). Is it worth the $$ though? And the GMM P/E Kit? One of my options is to get it through hobbylink in Japan - has anybody purchased from them? How is their service? It works out to roughly half as much as it would cost me if I got it in from the U.S, so thats my motivation. Greg (Listmaster - SMML) P.S. For my fellow USS MISSOURI fans, here's a new page. http://www.thesunlink.com/packages/mo/index.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From: John Snyder Subject: Re: Tamiya FLETCHER depth charges Tim: While I haven't looked closely at my as-yet unbuilt kits, those on the K-guns are likely the teardrop-shaped Mk.9 charge, designed to sink faster, while those on the stern racks are the old-fashioned Mk.6 "ashcan" type. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) From: Alberto Rada Subject: Trenches on the Web Hi If you go to Trenches on the Web: http://www.worldwar1.com/vrml.htm You will find some very interesting 3D drawings by Paul Weiser on some WW1 Ships, have a look and enjoy SALUDOS Alberto ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- TRADERS & ANNOUNCEMENTS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) From: Pacific Front Hobbies Subject: Samek Models We had placed a large order for 1:700 USS Alaskas for Samek Models in Sternberk, Czech Republic a few months ago, but have not received these kits, and our inquiries have gone unanswered. As we had dealt with Samek for several years with no problems, we are quite concerned. If you have any news about this company and their current situation, please contact me.
