I am ready to paint my 1/400th scale Bismarck. Does any one have the color formulas for Humbrol paints for use on the Kriegsmarine using the Synder paint chips? Thanks, Dan Bauer -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From: "Eduardo Luis Marcovecchio" Subject: Re: Minimite motor >> My problem is the battery. I have one completely worn out and another that wont hold a charge for any amount of time. I cannot find replacements at all of the local Dremel outlets that fit my **older** Minimite. Instead of paying $40 for a new Minimite pack (cant get it without the extra crap), I spent $55 for a new larger handheld with a fully variable motor speed controller (2000-35000rpm) and have been very happy with it. << I'm not sure, but I think the Minimite battery is just a pack of 4 Ni-Cd regular cells. I don't know how to open that power pack to check, but since yours is dead, I guess it would be worth to cut it and open to look inside. :) Well, just an idea. Thanks! Eduardo -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From: BSteinIPMS@aol.com Subject: Naval Base Hobbies I've placed only one order through Naval Base Hobbies thus far, and I'd do another. My credit card was charged immediately but the order took about a month. Upon my query via their phone's voice mail, Shaya Novak called me back and explained the items I had ordered were back-ordered from the manufacturer. In this case the items were Dunagain Decals whose proprietor, Duane Fowler, was in Tibet tracking the Yeti or somesuch (grin) and the decals would be made up by Duane and shipped to NBH upon his return. Since these were special order items, apparantely, and not in stock, NBH charged my card immediately while waiting to receive them from Dunagain. A trifle irritating, perhaps, until you consider these gentlemen are part of the wonderful cottage industry we depend on for so many esoteric items. I guess a month's wait wasn't so bad, and I felt immeasurably better when Shaya called my home and my work place trying to communicate and explain. And finally, *very* nice decals, Duane. Don't go to Tibet quite so often: stay home and create more.
