Another way to get it is to search google groups for "stevensin@aol.com" in the sender field. If you want to post it, here is the entire letter. >>From: StevensIn (stevensin@aol.com) Subject: Trumpeter facts Ok, lets get some Trumpeter facts straight right from the horses mouth(so to speak): 1) Yes, Trumpeter started by copying some kits, then realized that to get anywhere in this business they to make original tools. 2) No, the A-10 was not started by Tamiya......it was tooled partially in China, partially in Italy, a Trumperter project from th start. 3) Yes, Trumpeter, after a visit and a long strategy meeting in the USA last year understands what they need to do to get their name at the top of the kit list(by the way, they were in NYC on 9/11). 4) Yes, that list supplied by FSM is for real. Most items have already been started one way or another, and there is an investment in research and some tooling already. 5) Yes, they have 100% ability to create completely new tools from CAD CD or blueprints. They have the technology to take a CAD CD and turn out a tool very quickly in top quality. 6) Yes, the 1/32 F-105 is for real....look for it 2nd or 3rd quarter, 2002. 7) Yes they have the money and the capacity to do all this 8) Yes, they have the commitment to the USA market, as seen form the FSM list 9) No they will not have any copied or poor quality kits in the Trumpeter brand line. 10) Yes, they make other lesser quality kits under a separate brand name, Mini Hobby Models, so as to separate it from their first class kits being sold under the Trumpeter name. 11) and YES, they need a lot of suggestions and support for their efforts! They also need help with specs for some cars: 1963 Chevy Nova, 1960 Bonneville, and 1978 Monte Carlo. Anyone having blueprints, good photos or spec sheets on these, let me know! 12) Yes, we are the exclusive importer for Trumpeter in the USA, and we can't wait for all this to happen! 13) Yes, we have the 2002-2003 Trumpeter catalog finally in: call 856-435-7645, ask for Laura and she'll tell you how to get one. To order, contact your favourite retailer or on-line dealer. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From: Mike Bartel Subject: 1:700 Ship Masters For Sale The following 1:700 scale ship masters are still up for sale: HMS INVINCIBLE (1921) HMS ST. ANDREW (1921) MNF 'GILLE' DESIGN BATTLE CRUISER (1913) IJN NO. 13-16 BB (1921) Please email me for prices if you are interested. There has been some confusion regarding my motives in the sale of these masters. Please note that these masters are for SALE- outright SALE. You get all production rights and materials with the sale of these masters. But, I must emphasize that I am NOT advertising more production runs of these kits, and I am NOT exiting the ship business. This is a simple housecleaning operation as IHP prepares to totally revamp its 1:700 line of ship models. I want to sell these masters, not lease them or work an agreement with anyone for them. You buy them, you own them, you produce kits with them. IHP will have nothing more to do with these masters. They do not fit our future plans, not now, not ever. The Special Limited Production series from IHP is history, and they will shortly be removed from the Website. Only the Standard series will remain. One more time: THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER CANCELLED SHIP KITS FROM IHP. These masters are for SALE- SALE only. Baca" Subject: MSJ Article Re-prints Boy do we get requests for reprints of articles! Up until Model Ship Journal invested in "print-on-demand" hardware, I was hesitant to offer re-prints because page scans and Xerox copies look awful and don't give the quality readers expect from Model Ship Journal. We can now re-print any article that has appeared in MSJ at a very high level of quality, both photographic and text. The re-prints are direct from disk and are NOT Xerox copies or scans from a printed page. The re-prints have hi-resolution digitally linked photographs. The Spring 2002 issue has photos that we would term "acceptable" (disk has lost links). All the other issues are excellent reproductions. Each re-print comes comb bound for easy reading and includes full color glossy covers depicting the issue they appeared in. Cost per bound re-print is $5.95 for each article, postpaid via USPS 1st Class Mail. Two or more re-prints ship pre-paid via USPS Priority Mail and we can bind them separately or all together, your choice. ISSUE ZERO: Don Preul's Navy Scratchbuilding Hulls-Flower Class Corvette Capt.
