Also what type of nichrome wire (if it makes a diff in hardness, etc.): 60, 80, etc.? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From: David Fisher Subject: fittings- 1:200 Can anyone suggest a source of fittings in 1:200 (1/16"==1 ft). In particular cargo winches 1918 type? Dave Fisher -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From: "William B. Smallshaw" Subject: Re: S-Boat Kit Bill, I am not sure I understand the marketing strategies of model companies but Revell Germany has not released the S-100 kit in the United States yet. Squadron has it available for advanced order, which would lead one to believe the release will happen in the near term. This goes in the category of Skywave not releasing the 1/700 modernized Iowa in the United States. Your guess is as good as mine, I do not understand the logic! Bill -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) From: "Ian Archer" Subject: Schnellboots The report by Dave about S-33 was very interesting! I opened Warship Pictorial 15 to see what this class looked like and was confused by an identical photograph repeated with different captions (tut-tut). The photo of "S-26" on the top of page 17 is also the photo of "S-55" on the bottom of page 22. Page 22 is a little blurrier and darker but the same photo. I'd like to know which boat this really is so that I can make the corrections. I.A. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5) From: AAA Hobby Subject: Re: Principe de Asturias >> http://www.nauticarobinson.com/fichalibro.php?ID=1617 << I picked this book up in Madrid in 1995. Tons of great model building stuff for the PdA and the Dedalo/Cabot. I had been looking online for this volume and not finding it thru the search engines, but now I know how to get another. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6) From: "Norman Samish" Subject: S-33's close encounter with Kelly & Bulldog Dave Krakow, Thanks for "S-33's close encounter with Kelly & Bulldog." You and Tony Ireland tell great stories! Norm Samish -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7) From: "David L. Miller" Subject: S-boat kits I looked about ten days ago, but the Revell-Germany kit of the S-boat was still on Squadron's advance order list, so, if Squadron doesn't have it in stock yet, I doubt others will.
