Burl Burlingame ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From: "John Sutherland" Subject: HMS Nottingham - a modelling question! Hi all, What would need to be done / altered / added to make the Skywave Exeter kit (which has some alternate parts for Nottingham) into a 2002 Lord Howe Island version (NB. I am NOT referring to the hole in her side!!!). Many thanks, John Sutherland Wellington, NZ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) From: "Darshan Ward" Subject: Basic Modeling Flaws I've been following with some interest the recent to and fro concerning competitions and the judging thereof, I must say I take my hat off to anyone who volunteers for such duty and to those who strive for excellence and be judged by a jury of their peers. There was one particular comment , however, that particularly caught my attention...... "Basic modelling flaws" at national competition level, [horror] One judge mentioned that he would examine carefully each entrant and if a BMF was detected that piece would be passed; and on to the next. But I haven't seen anywhere a description of what might constitute such as a "basic modelling flaw" I would very much appreciate if any correspondant could share with the list such information so that we at least may try our utmost to avoid such egregious errors in our endeavours {!!!} Best wishes to all and keep on modelling.....
