Any web site? Thanks Randy Nugent ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From: Peter Webster Subject: Re: Nautical Trivia Regarding the various derivation of such terms - a friend of mine had heard that the origin of 'recoil' had come from the re-coiling of a gun's breeching ropes after it had been fired. Can anyone confirm or elaborate on this?? Thanks Peter Sydney, Oz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From: Fkbrown90@aol.com Subject: Masts of U.S.S. CONSTITUTION This may sound like a trick question, but it isn't, although it may be considered as in the trivia category. How many masts does U.S.S. CONSTITUTION (aka Old Ironsides) have? Franklyn ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) From: "D.Przezdziecki" Subject: Re: IHP Hobbies You never heard about Mike Bartel and IHP??? Where you have been hidding Ted??? :-) Not so long ago on Steel Navy there was a photo of Mike's 1/700 Lexington and I was impressed even thou I am usually not impressed by anything launched after 1915!!! Regards D.P ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5) From: Steven Lau Subject: Who mail orders White Ensign in the USA? I am looking very hard at getting the White Ensign USS Knox and wondered if anyone mail orders it in the USA? I know White Ensign does a great job of mail order because I've ordered from them before. Normally I'd just do that again but this time it is really to my advantage to buy using cash rather than a credit card. I already emailed Caroline at WE and it sounds like credit cards are really the only easy way to buy from them. I may just do that, but wanted to know if I could get the kit domestically. I think Pacific Front carries WE kits. Anyone else? Thank you. Off the top of my head there is a whole sheet of bridge voice pipes and full deck plans for HMAS Napier, including her bridge as well as fire control data. Have a look through the list on my web site www.john-lambert-plans.com I have original drawings for HMS Matabele but not one line is drawn yet. No contract arrived! Oh for more hours in the day.
