These emails look like the real thing and usually come with an attachment. Hell, I've recieved approx 20 in the past 6 hours It appears that these virus designers are getting smarter & smarter. If in doubt of the origin doublecheck the email address - I have had people get emails from among others shipmodels@mira.net, shipmodels@onetel.net.uk & shipmodels@aol.com NOT shipmodels@tac.com.au with SMML content from past issues in it. If in doubt don't open it & get back to the person who you THINK sent it. Check the full headers of any suspect emails and you may be able to find out who actually sent it. Thanks to all those people who notified me of the problem as well. Nice to hear from you. I have been known to be remarkably out of the loop- :( I haven't checked the Steel Navy site in a while, and thought that might be the one with link and pic info about IHP- I'll look again. Thanks, Ted ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) From: Bradford Chaucer Subject: Re: Mystery Ship >> Have a look at Steel Navy's Ocober Mystery Model which IMO can only be 1/350 scale kit of USS Brooklyn by YS Master Pieces. If this indeed is the case than, boy, Yannis Sagiadinos does work FAST!!!!! He only started some time in the end of June and has the hull ready by the begining of October!!?? << I tend to agree that it is the YS Masterpieces Brooklyn, based on the resin - I have never seen ISW prototype (or for that matter produce) in white resin, and more importantly the fill plug. ISW "ALWAYS" has a hull length fill web as opposed to a single round plug. Nine: Fore, Main, Mizzen, Fore-top, Main-top, Mizzen-top, Fore-gallant, Main-gallant, Mizzen-gallant. Durring the winter (soon) the upper set of three (gallant masts) are lowered through the trucks. Poore" Subject: Polyurethane Beads The current Fine Scale Modeler has a photo of a bridge scene, and it states that the still water surface below it was created with polyurethane beads. My current project is for an anchored ship diorama in 1/350th scale, and I want those nice still waters (I normally use the acrylic gel medium, but I want it smoother than that). Has anyone heard of the polyurethane beads, how to use them, where to get them, etc.?
