It wasn't the normal blues that the US Navy used but however a pattern of greens. So far in my reasearch I have only come up with the Indiana being a green battleship. My grandfather once told me he had helped break in a green battleship. Can someone please tell me what these colors might have been? << TOTAL B.S.!!! The vertical surfaces were painted Navy Blue, Ocean Gray and Haze Gray, with Deck Blue on all horizontal surfaces. Without checking, I believe this was a Ms. 12 Modified. They set me up with a custom cloth flag for my USS John Paul Jones in 1/96 scale. It is very well made, and really adds a nice touch to the model. The battle flag of the John Paul Jones (DDG-53) is not the standard US flag, but that flown by the Bonhomme Richard during her famous battle with the Serapis, and has blue strips in addition to the red and white. Price was very reasonable for the quality. I believe they have the standard US flag (both 50 and 48 star varieties) i in a variety of sizes, one of which will be appropriate for your model. Any advice on how to connect the two deck parts without the seams showing. Regards ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9) From: "David Harris" Subject: ICM 1/350th Scale Hood I seem to remember hearing two things about this kit. One was that one of the molds that ICM made had developed a crack. The second was that they may have sold their work in progress to another party. I think that I remember reading some of this on the hmshood.com Web Site. They had a nice section giving information on the models available of the ship, but cannot check it as the site seems down at the moment. Hopefully Trumpeter will come to our aid with a kit of her (& the HMS Warspite too) Regards.
