 Hi Garry,

 There are 4 photos in Anthony J. Watts: Fast Attack craft and there is a reference in McLeavy's: Naval Fast strike craft. You can find both books in www.bookfinder.com. By the way I am interested in Shershen plans, please let me know where did you purchased from?

 Does anyone knows the colours of the french flying boats 'Loire 130' embarked on the battleship Dunkerque, early 1942? And the squadron markings ? 

 I believe it was HS2, but I'm not sure of it.

 Hi Art

 Not necessarily - some MoD photos never made it to the IWM at all. Anyway for me this is conclusive and shows Ark Royal in an interesting camouflage scheme. The stepped effect near the bows is interesting and unusual (but I have seen it before) and it is a pity it is not shown properly in Volume 1. Colours would be AP507B and AP507C. By the time she sunk the scheme had become pretty worn.

 I have examined the one [grainy] photo that I have very carefully with a magnifying glass and I do see a pair of oerlikons rather than Y gun though it is difficult to be certain. The caption also indicates that said armament was landed. date unspecifed. I have to assume that you have furthur and additiomal corroborating evidence to support your argument, and unassailable proof that 4 x 4.7 were retained through this period.
