This kit is not the most accurate one out there but with a little scratch work, it can become a fair representation of the FFGs. Hope this helps. In Christ Dave Judy ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From JRKutina@webtv.net (John Kutina) Subject Ace plastics Need help - want resin to cast various ship and dock parts. I understand there is a supplier in Arizona or New Mexico by the name of Ace Plastics. Does anyone know their e-mail address? Thank you for any help on this. Regards, John Kutina ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From aandmblevins@att.net Subject Can Anybody help-McClusky FFG-41 I would think that a 1/350 scale FFG would scale out to almost 2 feet long. I don't know of any plastic ones like that, but I'm sure any of the resin suppliers have Perry Class models in 1/350 that could be adapted. I'm especially uncertain how to paint the rust streaks on the hull. Should I paint them just to the waterline of the hull or also along the underwater part of the hull. How is rust running over the hull when the boat is submerged? Will the rust be washed away by the sea? Thanks for your help and advice, Martin Gertenbach ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- TRADERS, ANNOUNCEMENTS & NOTICEBOARD ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) From shaya novak Subject 20" Perry Class 1/300 http//www.totalnavy.com/300ohperry.htm The Captain Naval Base Hobbies www.totalnavy.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the SMML site for the List Rules, Backissues, Member's models & reference pictures at http//smmlonline.com Check out the APMA site for an index of ship articles in the Reference section at http//apma.org.au/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- End of Volume
