Lost almost entire collection of 1/1200 - almost 1000 models, including scratch builts and vintage plastics especially Eagle and Pyro. Insurance works, but SMML works better - many thanks to those SMMLies who have already assisted me in rebuilding the fleet! I now understand the complaints about the reproduction of the photo illustrations. Roger - sympathies; such a great pair of books devalued by a production issue. What and when are next titles planned? I have been following the Trumpeter Essex questions we get from time to time. This is good because I am building the same thing. I do need some info on hatches for the 5/38 gun turrets. While removing the seams I damaged the hatches near the front of the turret, the ones that look like a square with the corner cut off. I know we've talked about colours for the elevators but does anyone know what the underside of the elevators looks like. My Essex has the hangar open. All the kits I done before have had a demarcation line for the boottopping. As this time I will be priming I will not be able to see were the upper and lower hull meet so I need some suggestions on how to set this line after painting.
