As an alternative, simplified plans could allow me to scratch-build an example. Since I spent some time on this ship and its sister ship, the President Thomas Jefferson, it would make a great addition to my fleet. Frank Stile, Canyon Lake, TX ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From Maarten Schönfeld Subject Re Karel Doorman conversion >> I don't suppose you have any of the Sea Fury or Firefly aircraft from this conversion set available separately? << Well Steve, I have good news these aircraft ARE available separately! Please contact Naval Models in Hoorn, the Netherlansds, for ordering and pricing information info@navalmodels.com Regards, Maarten ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From Randy Ward Subject Re merchant ships - constant scale (11200) resins I've been considering, for some time, doing a limited run of famous merchant ships, in resin and maybe even with photo-etch. These would be well-known vessels for which there's never been a kit. I'm currently working on the masters for the tanker, Torrey Canyon (first major oil spill, 1967), and expect to start the mold-making soon. All would likely be in 1/1200. Cap'n Randy ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) From "David N. Lombard" Subject Re Noah's ark From randall.a.chisum@us.army.mil >> One must remember that the ark was basically a large, deep wooden box. It wasn't propelled so the hogging wasn't an issue << Propulsion is irrelevant to hogging or sagging. This is a static condition related to the vessel length, wave length, and hull weight and strength. David N.
