World War I Tech (Modern Marvels) is scheduled for July 28. It's a great program - I know, because I'm on it (on this one, I'm also the credited historical consultant, which let me do a lot of behind-the-scenes work on the program). I've seen the rough cut, and the submarine information in particular is impressive. And my description of how gas masks work is to die for ... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From URUDOFSKY@aol.com Subject Funnel Bands (one more time) The small cruiser EMDEN as a contemporary lead-cast donator model has red funnel bands (LOA 13.5 cm). I would guess that a model of a German warship would look good with red bands regardless of protocol. http//images.andale.com/f2/107/108/7155631/1090409144452_Emden_Hilfswerk_2.jpg Inscription Seemannshilfe [aid to sailors] 1914-15 S.M.S. Jecobin do the various Leanders in 1/96 and Dave Sambrook also does a Leander (Danae) as built. Try our website to see some of them. http//www.taskforce72.org/ Michael Brown Task Force 72 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) From "JAMES HATHAWAY" Subject HIJMS Mikasa I was wondering if any list members have a suggestion as to where to go for ship's drawings of battleship HIJMS Mikasa? Any suggestions gratefully appreciated- I am looking down the road to a project years away, but I thought I should start looking now- Jim Hathaway ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5) From Mac Dale Subject Tribute It does indeed strike a chord in me, My Mom passed away in November. Awesome tribute to your MOM Randy, they inspired and kindled much more than just a hobby.
