Without anything specific in mind, I found myself drifting towards a collection of U-boot publications, where I found a most useful pack of plans, to A1 size, of the Type VIIC. They are much larger versions of the ones to be found in Stern, Squadron Signal and vom Original zum Modell and I figured they would be an invaluable aid to anyone contemplating building the Revell kit and wanting to ensure that it has the correct number of bolts, rivets and the like. The pack is published by Bernard & Graefe Verlag and cost £25, which I thought was good value for ten sheets with 13 drawings (of which some have multiple views) that could easily be rescaled to 1/72 without ending up with lines that look as though they had been drawn with a blunt stick of charcoal. Cheers Mistress Lorna ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From brownatfareham@surefish.co.uk Subject IPMS(UK) Special Interest Groups It is now nearly four years since we started the Small Warship Special Interest Group (SIG). In that time, many SMML's have expressed an interest in these types of warships and joined the group. There are also SIGs for other types of warships. If you are interested in Cruisers, then why not contact myself - brownatfareham@surefish.co.uk. Similarly for those with a special interest in Battleships, try contacting Nigel Denchfield (ndenchfield@talk21.com).
