The drawings showed the outline of an 80 foot Elco (with Vickers machine guns in the turrets) with the specific camo layout and color legend added. Attached to the drawings were color "chips" (very similar in makeup and texture to the paint color samples you get at the hardware store) used by that particular scheme. One of the colors was MTB green. A rather dark forest green. The Revell 1/72 PT 109 model was molded in a plastic of approximately the same color. Those same drawings are available from Floating Drydock. I don't know if the color chips come with them or not. Chip Marshall ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From Will Day Subject Re PT Boat Camoflage One late-war Pacific Elco scheme was actually four colors Green (FS 34277) Dark Green (FS 34158) Dull Black Decks were Deck Green (FS 34092) Bottoms were Copperoid ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From "Reid, John (AFIT)" Subject Waterline International (Italia) For those SMMLies who are members, I received Volume VIII Issue 26 this week – yours will presumably arrive soon if not already. For those who are not, and are interested in 11200/11250, think about it. It is easy and most effective. I use "Smooth - On " it is a 1 to 1 mix so it is great for making small rubber molds. The resin mix is also 1 to 1. If you want further info on the distributor, message me.
