This looks like an impressive model. 86cm in length, certainly looks good on their website. Does anyone know how much this will go for $A price? I take it Sandle will stock it with shipping classified as BBB? Thanks John. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From "Baumbach, Werner" Subject Variations Hallo fellow ship modellers, in addition to Christmas, it is vacation time. I will be driving out to Denmark in a couple of days. In my bag also modelling stuff. I would like to work on my 1/700 fleet (USN). Now I need some tips from you experts out there. I have Revell Arleigh Burke Oliver Perry Ticonderoga Pitroad Arleigh Burke II Dragon (I think) Two Ticonderogas Two Spruance (one is the oldendorf) I already have a USS Valley Forge Ticonderoga in the fleet. So now the question. Is there anything that could be considered to make the same class ships look a bit different. The Revell Ticonderoga will probably be the lead ship of the class. What about the other boats in that class? How about the spruances? The two arleigh burkes will differ (flight I and II, so that is alright). The OH Perry is already in the fleet, but I am not sure that Revell provides a second set of decals. So I'll have to check that. Any ideas for variations here. Are there any export versions or sold to ships to any other navies? Sorry for the rookie type questions. I have limited time for research before we had out to Denmark and the combined knowledge and expertise of this group is usually breath-taking. Any ideas and suggestions are more than welcome. Cheers and a happy new year to all of you Werner ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From "John Snyder" Subject Re WEM Paints >> I suspect there is a quality control problem with their manufacture. Most batches are OK, but from time to time a bad batch gets out there. << Given the size of our batches, if that was the case then we'd be getting far more than the half-dozen or so comments per year on the 70,000+ tins we ship annually. In addition, we worked with the manufacturer to re-formulate Colourcoats last year for even better performance. We know that there WERE a couple of colours in the original formulation about which we had a few complaints, which led us to develop the new formula.
