Hi Bob, greetings from across town, There a a bunch of good photos of Nimitz at navsource.org, and specifically, the one at http//www.navsource.org/archives/02/026813.jpg shows that offset beyond a doubt. (I guess it's more of a curiosity than a value for reference that the Russian drawing is also correct in that respect) There is a photo at the bottom of the page that shows dark patches symmetrically placed, but a blowup of that photo shows that those are covers laid down over the actual cat track. Rick Heinbaugh Bothell, WA ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From "Reynaga, Tim@EDD" Subject U-boat stuff for Roy Roy, Since Dave Judy sent you the U-Boat model already, I'll send you some references for the project instead. "Kriegsmarine Type VII U-Boat" (Steve Wiper) and "German U-Boat Type VII - Grey Wolves" (Heinz J. Nowarra) are winging their way to you from Squadron mail order now. I have both of these and I think you will find them both inspiring and useful for your build. Good luck and God bless! Tim ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From Graeme Martin Subject Trumpeters 1/350 Trumpeter USSR Admiral Kuznetsov A/C Carrier Has anybody purchased this kit yet? And if so can they give a critique about it? It's pretty expensive so apart from having lots of parts. It would have to be excellent quality to command this sort of money! Looking forward to hearing comments.
