Dan Hayward ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From George Colleen Hargreaves Subject WW I In Colour Happy New Year to All, Christmas brought to me the book World War I in Colour, ISBN 0 09 189782 3. This covers all of W.W.I and is based on film footage that a Sony team colourized. Chapter 8 is stills taken from the colourized film of ships. There are a variety of new images showing Queen Elizabeth class battleships both details and manoeuvring. There is also a great deck shot of what is identified as an Acasta class destroyer. There are Grand Fleet shots and details shots. Turns out you may also order the DVD of the footage that was shown on Channel 5 in England. Can anyone comment on the colourization process that was used? The water and flesh tones appear to be absolutely correct. Also did anyone see the Channel 5 showing? Is the DVD worth sending for?
