They have it in relatively small quantities (though "small" will probably still last you for several years), and the service was excellent. I got the order within 2-3 days of ordering on the internet. And "infinitesimal" it is -- you can hardly even SEE 1 mil nichrome wire. One caution -- it's thin and its strong. If you try to break the 1 mil stuff with your fingers, you will end up with your fingers lying on the bench right next to your Xacto knife. Ever seen an egg slicer at work? << Hi Vince, Does Pelican have a web site that you can place an order on? Do you have their URL? Thanks, Rick Nelson "Damn the Pressure, Six-Zero feet!" "Boomers Hide With Pride" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From Mark Leonard Subject Rigging for CSS Tallahassee I"m starting in on Lone Star's CSS Tallahasse, but I'm wondering about the running rigging. Both masts look to be gaff-rigged, and I believe the gaff lifts would simply run down to a pinrail at the base of the mast. But the gaff vangs- I think they'd run from a block on the deck, but would they then run to a deck cleat or a pin rail on the inside of the upper hull? Any thoughts? Regards, Mark Leonard ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From "Paul Giltz" Subject Sometimes life is hard I just came across some information about a passenger liner that was torpedoed by the Germans in WWI ( abandonded, then recovered) and then also in WWII (sunk). Speculation how many ships were damaged in both wars? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) From "Robert Mattis" Subject 1/20 scale figures I am looking for some 1/20 scale or even 1/24 scale crew for my Dumas PT boat. Does anyone know a place I can find these? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5) From Matthew Subject Tribal class destroyers Sorry if this has already been asked, but does anyone manufacture a 1350 scale Tribal class destroyer that is not too expensive? Many thanks, Matt ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- TRADERS, ANNOUNCEMENTS & NOTICEBOARD ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) From "alan blyth" Subject Photos for sale I have a small collection of photographs of WWII and pre-war ships, and wonder if anyone is interested in buying any.
