I was just wondering if anybody has heard any rumors on her sinking and just how much she took be going down. Just wondering. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From "Doug Bauer" Subject prototyping board Can anyone tell me where in the US I can buy an item called "prototyping board" in the UK? It's a resin-based product that can be used to carve/fashion scratchbuilt hulls. Doug Bauer Poway, CA ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From Subject Question on Brazilian torpedo boat Would any of our members have information on the external paint scheme of the the Brazilian torpedo boat of the "Araguary" Class (1890)? Or could suggest a possible search website or e-mail? "Araguary" was a First-Class boat, built by Thorneycroft in England. There were two others in the Class "Bento Goncalves" (ex-"Marulio Dias"), and "Iguatemi". It is possible that its color scheme at delivery was changed during the internal conflicts of 1893-4, and in its subsequent sevice until 1910 or so. Any clues tied to a time slot would be most welcome. I have come across a profile and plan view of this vessel; there are no draughts or sections, but these could be derived. It might make an attractive and unusual model. Any idea of doing that again? Also, probably for John Lambert, is the HDML going to be in attendance again? Best wishes to all, Harold Lincoln ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5) From ddamian@skrzynka.pl Subject USS Bunker Hill (CV-17) radars Hi, I'm collecting all possible informations about USS Bunker Hill. One of the questions is radar equipment during 1944. On the photos there are some indications, unfortunately they are not very sharp. Can anyone help me about radar types and their placement on the island? Regards Damian Pliszka ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6) From Bevilacqua Luca Subject Large scale Yamato models Hi David, nice info thank you. Wandering a found this other link (couple of bics on the deck). http//www.kadokawaharuki.co.jp/yamato/yamato_0425.html Shame on me that tought I was building a "big" model of her (the Nichimo 1200). Happy modelling to everyone Luca ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7) From "Michael D'Silva" Subject Model Expo 2005 Will any SMML members be attending this year’s Model Expo at Sandown Racecourse (Melbourne, Victoria) that is being held during the Queen’s Birthday Weekend? If so, this might be a way to put a face to a name. Perhaps we could all agree to wear a name tag or just a stick on tag with the words SMML written on it. Just an idea… Michael D’Silva Victoria, Australia ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the SMML site for the List Rules, Reviews, Articles, Backissues, Member's models & Reference Pictures at http//smmlonline.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- End of Volume
