Smallshaw" Subject Kit Manufacturer Contact Information I purchased a resin kit (1/72 Swift boat) from a local hobby store manufactured by an English company S.D.D. The it is missing some parts and I would like to contact the individuals who make these kits. Does anyone know who puts these kits out and how to contact them? Thanks, Bill ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From "dengar" Subject Help Required Can anyone help? I am looking for a small scale 1/200 plan of the Indefatigable Class Battlecruisers from WW1. Regards Gary ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From "Denis James" Subject Re Yamato colours http//www.combinedfleet.com/kaigun.htm has much on the IJN including last time I looked a Tabular record of Movement for the Yamato which includes ref to the black deck camo used for the breakthrough in the San Bernardino Strait. And Watakan is a serious data base for the Yamato and its colours. It also refers to a black deck and conjectures that it extended up the superstrucure, arm high. Their ref for this is the book by Toshio Yoshida.Go to http//www.coma.ais.ne.jp/~watakan/yamato/index.html This is the best I can do without searching my very disorganised library. I know you can get into all sorts of trouble with the "experten" when you have opinions on colours but the final photos of the Yamato from above always looked to me like she had blackened decks The first ref above suggested they used soot from her stack.-There is a lot of conjecture that its just that her decks were wet.The cyprus used I believe not having ever seen it was a light colour going towards a greyish hue. Therefore soot / oilish black seems a reasonable explanation. The more knowledgable members of the list will hav better references so I await with interest their views. Goodluck. Just remember its a bit hard for anyone to argue with you whatever you do. It'll just be one persons opinon against anothers. rgds dj ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) From Pa2u3472@aol.com Subject Mauretania Searching for subject model of SS Mauretania which was used as a troop ship during WW II, which I boarded on 13 Jan 1943, along with approximately 5,000 other American soldiers, as we discovered later, destination Iran on the Persian Gulf Command. Every location that I have searched have the HMS Mauretania built in 1906/7. Any help? e a scott ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5) From JRKutina@webtv.net (John Kutina) Subject Ship supplier - metal, painted in 1250 scale To all those who are interested in this scale, I suggest you contact Chris Daley Glendale, CA e-mail 1250ships@1250ships.com phone 818 - 502 - 9490 He has a huge inventory of ships - military and commercial - that appear from his catalogue photos to be excellent.
