Thanks Nuno Rubim ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From Skyking918@aol.com Subject Inclining Experiments I keep finding photos of warships in dock undergoing "inclining experiments." As a lifelong landlubber I have no idea what these experiments are designed to test. Can somebody clue me in? Michael McMurtrey Carrollton, Texas ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From "David N. Lombard" Subject Re 1/700 scale Aggressive class minesweepers From "Terry Howlett" >> I am intending to make a number of model minesweepers for NATO navies post war to current date. Does anyone know what 1/700 scale models exist. I am happy to adapt/copnvert also. Main focus at the moment is the US Aggresive class as everyone seemed to have them after the war and during 60's and 70's. << I have a 1350 YMS resin kit from Commander Series Models. I have a number of pictures at of MSC(O)-49 LORIKEET and MSC(O)-47 FULMAR at http//www.lombardsnest.com/cgi-bin/photo/index.cgi?mode=view&album=/Ships I have a LOT more, that I'll post real soon now... The YMS were the basis of a number of well-known civilian conversions. David N. Lombard Rossmoor, Orange County, CA http//www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/uncgi/Earth?imgsize=320&opt=-z&lat=33.8&ns=North&lon=118.08&ew=West&alt=7&img=learth.evif ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) From "Michiel Woort" Subject Re 1/700 scale minesweepers Artitec has produced a set of three dutch minesweepers in 1/700. Two of them post war, HrMs Alkmaar (tripartite) and HrMs Dokkum (dutch WU) and the HrMs Abraham Crijnsen (WW2 and after). Some times you see these sets on E-bay, mostly the German one. And perhaps some on SSML has one in spare for you. Greetings, Michiel Woort ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5) From "Min Hin Chong" Subject Re 1/700 minesweepers Regia Marina produces a set of 3 NATO minesweepers (Leric, Gaeta, Osprey) in resin. Skytrex produces the RN Ton class in white metal. If you are interested in building non NATO minesweepers, Skywave includes a Hatsushima class ship packaged with the sagumo/Yamagumo, and a Sugashima class ship with the Takanami/Onami. Combrig produces a Gorya class minesweeper. Cheers, Min Hin Chong ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6) From GORDONBUT@aol.com Subject Re John Lambert John Lambert moved house a month ago. He is not yet in his new house because it wasnt ready. I am not sure what the present position is. Gordon Buttress ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7) From "Peter Chant" Subject 1/700 scale minesweepers Terry Skytrex (www.skytrex.com) do the British ton class coastal minesweeper in 1/700. It makes a nice model, but, being white metal, is just a little more difficult to convert to the many versions of the class.
