Thank you all! Gus Semper Fi ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From Randy Ward Subject Re graphics software >> I believe this has been asked and answered before, but I don't recall the answers what would be the best, reasonably-priced, software for designing and printing custom decals onto decal paper with an ink-jet HP 16PSC 1600 printer? << I don't know what the rest of the world is using, but I can "do it all" with Adobe Illustrator. The latest version isn't cheap (unless you know a college student who can get it at the educational discount), but I mainly use an older version, and it's fairly easy to draw *anything* you want and print it onto decal paper. If you can find an older version around, like at a store selling used PCs, that may be your best bet. Cap'n Randy ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From "rwsmithjr@rcn.com" Subject Re WW2 USN Paints and FS references (was Lexington in Blue) >> Also thanks RW for the reference to the discussion on the subject, and I look forward to seeing the photo you refer to. I need to bone up on the current state of research on early 1942 US carrier colors before I tackle another one. << Go here http//www.shipcamouflage.com/BB/viewtopic.php?t=72 for the photo. While you're on the site browse the main site and consider ordering something, that's what pays for the site. Other than participating in the discussions I have no connection with the site. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the SMML site for the List Rules, Reviews, Articles, Backissues, Member's models & Reference Pictures at http//smmlonline.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- End of Volume
