Thanks Robert ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From "Ken Goldman" Subject Re "Rum-runner" Flivvers and four-stackers An interesting bit of history from Harold Stockton. Thanks. I find it especially so in that I hadn't known that the US Navy named a destroyer after arguably the best naval officer of the Confederacy, Raphael Semmes, captain of the raider CSS Alabama. Ken Goldman ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From BRADFORD CHAUCER Subject Re AURORA the hartford model kit >> I saw this on eBay and remembered a discussion about whether this kit was a sidewheeler or not.(Not a sidewheeler) AURORA the hartford model kit. Item number 5999122476 << The USS Hartford was a screw powered sloop. The box picture correctly does not show a paddle wheel. Regards, Bradford Chaucer ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) From John Reeder (jfr1945@aol.com) Subject HMS SALISBURY (Type 61 Frigate) I am working on a model of HMS SALISBURY in her early 1970s configuration. I have not been able to get plans for her in that configuration and am having a difficult time determining the correct height for the fore and aft "macks". Can anyone help with plans or the actual height above the deck?
