I am particularly interested in CAMBELL, but will take what I can get. The plan only needs to have a moderate level of detail. I have had no luck searching the Web and usual sources -- they all seem to have plans in WWII configuration or later. Thanks, John John Reeder ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From "Gregory Turek" Subject revell flower class for sale Did someone post ad for sale of revell flower class within australia? I am interested. Greg Turek ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From BARRY FLEET Subject Re Boilers and engines The type 12 and Leander class frigates were driven by 2 Babcock and Wilcox Y100 oil fired boilers supplying high pressure superheated steam to 2 HP Turbines driving the screws through reduction gearboxs. The water was demineralized, supplied in a closed loop system, condenser - extraction pumps, De-Aerator, Feed pumps etc. The demin water was provided from feed tanks supplied by evaporators, the raw material for the evaporators being sea-water. The turbo-alternators were driven by superheated steam. If my memory serves me there was 1 X 500kW steam driven TA and 2 X Diesel driven 500kW generators. Why did it take 4 hours. Because the system was physically large in volume and needed to be warmed through gently in order to prevent damage due to rapid expansion.
