Keep safe, keep modeling Cheers Rui (aka Skipper) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From Maarten Schönfeld Subject Re: Profile Morskie 16 Tribal class Dear SMMLlies, Thanks for all the help I got on this subject unfortunately the body plan of the Tribal in the booklet proved to be rather questionable (I will save you the details why) but it helped me just a little further down the road. Probably checking with the association maintaining HMS Haida might help me a bit further, I will try that. The Hobby Center in Ottawa has a very clear address, but no URL or email address that I could find. Maybe someone else knows more about this shop. And yes, I think that providing a good 1350 injection moulded kit of the Tribal should be an obvious choice for a manufacturer! It's been almost 47 years since Airfix came with their 1600 version, I believe the Frog kit must be of similar age. Fortunately WEM of course caters for the 1700 and ISW for the 1350 scales, but wouldn't it be nice to have them in polystyrene? Thanks and kind regards, Maarten Schönfeld ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From "John Snyder" Subject Re: Profile Morskie 16 Tribal class Well, don't look to ISW they've discontinued their 1/350 Tribal, and our 1/700 Tribal is long out of production. I have a complete set of plans for both the WWII and post war versions and if I can help get back to me at thecrowsnest@eastlink.ca. As well, Resin Shipyard has just completed the molds for a 1/350 resin HMCS Haida and we will be offering the kit, along with others, this summer (June). Check our website www.resinshipyard.com for more info. Bagnasco, in I MAS E LE MOTOSILURANTI ITALIANE, has photos and data on a number of the license-built VOSPERs taken into RM service post-war that mount a flakvierling amidships and a single Breda 20/65 forward of the charthouse. Al Ross ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9) From Subject E-mail address for Les Brown I attempted to contact Les Brown, of the Small Warship SIG (http//www.smallwarshipgroup.org.uk) by e-mail, and have had the message returned undeliverable by the Mailer-Daemon. The address used was automatically brought up from the web-site, and was brownatfareham@surefish.co.uk . I use the link from SMML Vol. 3069, but the current page on the web-site appears to be identical. The reason for the return was "Remote host said 550 Administrative prohibition". I have no idea what this means, but can any SMMLie direct me on how to get a message to Les?
