I think you may have hit on a brilliant idea there; first make a navigation bridge (or whatever you need) very QUICK and SLOPPILY - and then publicize the pics. Hoping, of course, to attract criticizm which, on defense of the challenge, will both find you the reference material and deliver a copy for free! By Crikey, it's brilliant, lad! LOL Cheers, -Matty Gary Mansfield wrote > > Hi, > > Yes I agree if some "rivet counter" says that is wrong, you say "prove it with a drawing/plan/photograph!" What about official sources in Gib, home dockyard uk or Scapa Flow? NMM but very expensive! Just ideas. > > Regards > > Gary ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From "PC Coker" cokerre@yahoo.com Subject SMML photos Hi, Ever since SMML was set up on Yahoo Forum it has not included a photo section on the home page. All of the other Yahoo Forums have a photo section. Any chance that we can get one so that members can post photos of their models? Thanks, PC Coker ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From "Reynaga, Tim@EDD" TReynaga@edd.ca.gov Subject Re SMML photos What ever happened to smmlonline? It is a great site (and place for pictures) but there haven't been any updates for over a year. I would prefer using that to setting up something new. However over the past week I have been hard at work in photoshop clearing the backlog of photos for the SMML site and site updates will hopefully start over the weekend after I've finished soccer. So if people want to submit photos, they can send them in and we'll go from there. Hell, I've nearly freed up enough time to start modelling again ;-) In regards to yahoo, this is still only a temporary solution to the problem of the mailing list and I will be moving to a far more suitable platform in the coming months. If people are having problems with changing from loose mail to digest or vice versa, just email me and I'll fix it up. All the best, Shane ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5) From "beyondsun@mindspring.com" beyondsun@mindspring.com Subject THANK YOU for SMML, Shane! (Re [SMML] SMML photos) Hi Shane & Lorna, I'm sure I speak for many, many of the folks who ever patronized SMML when I say THANK YOU - very much - for all your efforts in sustataining the Ship Modelers' Mailing List. (As one who is, even now today struggling with my own, far simpler website, I am especially appreciative.) There's not that many of us ship modelers left; SMML provides an invaluable spot for us all to stay interested, and stay in contact!
