Hose reelThis is a photo of the hose reel on the port side, main deck just aft of the aft 15 cm turret. To the lower left hand side is the valve fitting and connection detail that was sought.

Sketch of hose reel valveThis is a hand sketch to clarify some detail that is evident in the original photo. The photo does not show the method of turning the valve. The threaded valve stem is apparent, but has nothing attached. I have drawn in the removable hand wheel with dashed lines.

This is another photo taken just ahead of the midships 15cm turret on the starboard side, looking aft. Midships 15cm turretAll the way to the right is another hose connection with the hand wheel still attached. It is pointed out with a very faint arrow that I added in.

AA fitThis pic is to help with that Mark also asked for. Unfortunately this is the best photo that I have. It was taken on the Starboard side looking inboard just aft of Bertha turret. In the foreground is the 20 mm mount with its canvas weather tarp. Of course this won't be much help, but its the only decent shot I have. In the background on the weather deck is the 3.7 cm AA showing some relatively good detail. Also, if one looks above the 20mm mount about deck height at the weather deck level, one can see a shortish cylinder with a weather cover on both ends in the open position. This is a typical external speaker for the PA system. These were mounted in several areas. I'm still in the process of determining as many positions as I can.

Open bridgeFinally if you want to add detail to the open bridge area, here's probably one of the best photos I've seen of this area. The yolks in the extreme fore and backgrounds are target giver columns, the optical devices have not been mounted between the arms yet. In between are several gauges (rudder indicators) and the box about centre is the rudder control. The rudder was controlled using push buttons mounted on the top of this box. Note also the speaking tube into the conning tower on the left.
