John Currie's Models

"Here are a couple of pics of the Warspite I built for a mate; it was a present
to his Grandfather. I built her as she was in 1943 when hit by German Glider
Bombs and limped into Malta. My mate's Dad was a stoker onboard and was injured
during the attack. He now keeps his medals in the glass case along with the
model, and is always showing it off. It is the Airfix Kit with WEM accessories."

There aren't many of us who, when wanting to check a detail of the real ship
we're building a model of, can just step outside & do just that. John Currie
is an exception, building this model of the Revell 1/700 HMS Exeter with the
WEM photo-etch parts, as he's serving on her!
