Reference Pictures of HMS Belfast

The photos were taken on 09/09/1999 during a shopping trip to London, when a historical urge came over me, although I had a sneaking suspicion this was where I really intended going - after a 25 year lapse.
HMS Belfast lies on the South Bank of the Thames with Blackfriars Bridge to the west and Tower Bridge just off the stern. Conditions were bright, and hot, and the area itself had changed considerably since my last visit - new buildings, sights etc, and pubs lining the banking.
Pictures were taken with a Pentax 738G, flash included, so the inside shots came out particularly well, the prints have enough detail to read the 6"gun manufacturers etchings.
The ship had returned from its Portsmouth refit and was in good condition, although weathering and rust are apparent. Enthusiasts will note the deck colours inc. the concrete/semtex? covering in two colours.
The stern deck has been relaid, with contributions from various businesses, donations for the ships upkeep can be dropped into the 'mine' on the quarterdeck.....the deck was a pale greyish/brown colour with black sealant between the planks.
Depending on light conditions, the camouflage pattern consisting of the pale colours, blended in with each other, and are not too apparent in the photos.
As can be seen, the Thames itself was a yukky green/brown colour......
