PT-309
Photos courtesy of Marc Flake
These are two shots of PT 309 from off the starboard bow. The second picture is a close-up within the same photograph showing the three kill markings and the tripod mount for the 20mm (which hasn't been installed yet) | This is the view off the port bow, showing the 20mm mount, and a close-up of the 40mm gun mounted on the fantail. This is also a good study of the depth charges on their roll-off racks. |
This photo illustrates how the late-war radar mast was installed behind the bridge, and in the foreground of the last one is a roll-off torpedo mount. Also a good shot of the back of the 40 mm Bofors and the two depth charges. The half cylinder in the foreground is part of a disassembled torpedo. |
